Dream Forest Langkawi is an immersive night walk through the rainforest that uses light, sound, and technology to tell the local legends and folklore of Langkawi and Kedah. The attraction features a 1.2 km trail with 14 themed zones that bring mythical tales to life through projection mapping, art installations, and interactive activities, designed to be a multi-sensory experience for all ages.
The experience
A multi-sensory journey through a darkened rainforest on a 1.2 km trail, highlighting local folklore such as the legend of the Giant Mat Chinchang and the story of Princess Dayang Bunting.
Technology and design
The attraction uses immersive elements like mesmerising lights, music, projection mapping, and interactive technology to tell stories, while being carefully designed to preserve the natural environment by not cutting down any trees.
Features
Includes 14 themed zones, interactive activities like marshmallow roasting, and features the mythical storyteller, Sang Kelembai, as the guardian of the forest.
Practical tips
Visitors are advised to wear comfortable, closed-toe shoes, long sleeves, and pants, and to use insect repellent due to it being an outdoor and nighttime activity.
